Shortwave supports a desktop version of the app on Mac for a seamless native email experience — coming soon for Windows
macOS app
- Click Download to get the desktop app from shortwave.com/downloads
- Once downloaded, open the Shortwave installer in Downloads folder
- Drag the Shortwave to you Mac's Applications folder
- Click on Shortwave to launch the app
- Right-click the app icon in your Dock and select Options > Keep in Dock to easily access Shortwave
- Follow the on-screen instructions to log into your Google account
To automatically run the app on startup:
- Right-click on Shortwave from your Dock
- Hover over Options >
- Select Open at Login
